It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene Erny of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Erny and Esther Erny (Deinderfer); his wife Martha Jean Erny (Smith); and his siblings, Rudolph J. Erny, Otto Erny Jr. and Laverne Wilma Effinger.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene "Beanie" Erny, Jr. (Sharon), Elizabeth Erny Conway (Stephen) and Albert "Bert" William Erny (Jane); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Mike), Gretchen (Cody), Stephen (Christine), Mary and Ellen (Mike). He is also survived by nine great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.
The family requests that contributions in lieu of flowers to Gene's memory be made to Little Sisters of the Poor (15 Audubon Plaza Dr, Louisville, KY 40217).
