It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Paul Mattingly Sr. (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Mattingly, and Joseph Roy Mattingly, Sr.; and his brother Robert Mattingly. He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Magruder Mattingly; his children, Susan Stroud, Jonathan, Jacob, Isaac, Katelyn, Dr. Julia Frith (Charles), Frank Paul Mattingly, Jr. (Ellery), Benjamin Mattingly Sr., Alyssa, Caroline, Riley and Christopher Mattingly (Asia); and his siblings, Roy Mattingly, Jr., Carolyn Gnau and Valerie Casey (David Casey). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He designed and sewed custom monogrammed canvas bags and even crafted cloth masks for family and friends during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
