He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Jean (Braun); and his son Jerry. He is survived by: his sons, Ed, Jr. (Mary Ann), Charlie (Doris) and Jim (Rita); his daughter-in-law Donna Gast; his grandchildren, Jim Gast (Rochelle), John Gast (Sabrina), Jessica Parr (Marc), Jeremy Gast (Erin), Jennifer Gast, Dustin Gast and Luke Gast; his great grandchildren, Katherine, Ashley, Joshua, Jordan, Emilee, Emmett, Riley and Ellanor; and his great great grandchildren, Lonnie Kate, Brady and Grayson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Ed's honor to the Holy Family statue donation fund at Holy Family Catholic Church or to the American Heart Association.
