With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George L. Atkins Jr. (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George L. Atkins, Sr. and Frances Shaver Atkins; and his sister Linda Blocher (David). He is survived by : his wife Donna Atkins; his children, Page Elaine Adams (Bill), Ashlee Ann Melendez (Salvador) and George L. Atkins (Chip); his grandchildren, Lindsey Evans (Zach), Phillip Adams, Maxwell Miller (Emily), Carmen McCoy (Joey), Jake Melendez, George Alexander Atkins, Riley Stewart and Spencer Stewart (Sophie); and his great grandchildren, Everly and George Westin Miller.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Pearson Funeral Home (149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207). Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers it is requested a donation be made in his honor to the UK Alumni Assn.
