He is survived by: his children, Scott Pitts (Amy) and Mindy Wermers; his grandchildren, Lindsey Welbourn (Dakota), Trevor Pitts, Alexis Wermers and Madelyne Wermers; and his siblings, Burnis Pitts, Glennis Pitts, Christine Chumbley, Carol Tussey, Donna Jean Dockery and Kaye Howard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
