With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harvey Russell Gay Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Gay, and Harvey Gay, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Clarissa "Cis" Potts and Joseph Potts; and his pet Casey.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Potts Gay; his daughters, Shannon and Michelle Gay; his pet Rhys; his sisters, Elizabeth Secrest, Kathryn Gay and Sharon Mueller (Charlie); and his sister-in-law Barbara Huber (Joe).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ratterman and Sons Chapel (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
