With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James McKinney Whalen (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ocie Whalen and Charles Whalen; his wife Nancy; and his sister Betty Smith. He is survived by: his children, Jerry (Vicki), Victor (Cathy) and Celeste; his grandchildren, Melissa, Michelle, Daniel, Michaela and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Gwendoline, Tatum, Grace, Josephine and Clementine.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
