He was predeceased by: his father James Joseph Bedway; his wife Elizabeth Whitmer; and his sister Maria Lapinsky. He is survived by: his daughter Jamele Bedway Zemba; his grandchildren, Aiden Bedway Zemba and Penelope Bedway Santana; his brother Ronald Bedway (Debbie); and his sibling's children, Ronnie Lapinsky (Melissa), R. C. Bedway and Richelle Bedway.
