We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2025, at the age of 84, James Sanford Ashley (Louisville, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Virginia Stump Ashley and Maurice Sanford Ashley; and his son Derek. He is survived by: his wife Karen Ashley; his daughter Jennifer Moberly (John); his stepchildren, Kalin Johnson (Kandace) and Kurt Johnson (Melissa); his grandchildren, Bailey Moberly (Jackson Ramsey), Reece Moberly and Kelsey Hoag (Jon); his sister Jan Merrick; his niece Lynn Naiser (Jeff); and his great-nephews, Dalton and Lucas Naiser.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
