We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2025, at the age of 93, Joan Gribbins (Louisville, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Joan's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Gribbins; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Gribbins. She is survived by: her children, Terry Gribbins, Rick Gribbins and Susan Mathes (Kevin); her granddaughters, Kasey Ryan (Jake) and Shelby Pursifull (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Hollis James and Oliver McCoy Ryan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home (4832 Cane Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40216). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (5431 Johnsontown Rd, Louisville, KY 40272).
