Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joseph leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Freda Asseff and John Albanese; and his stepfather Mershel Asseff. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Albanese; and his children, LaDonna Akridge (Darrell), Stephanie Wolford (Victor) and Tony Albanese (Rosalinda). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Chapel (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville in Joseph's memory.
