It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Julia Marie Brown of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Blair and Lula Marie Blair; and her siblings, Earl Blair, James "Buddy" Blair, Louis Blair, Danny Lee Blair, Mary "Sis" Doss (Blair), Shirley Peebles (Blair) and JoAnn Higdon (Blair).
She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" Brown; her children, Theresa (Dan), Michael (Freddie) and David (Carrie); her grandchildren, Matthew (Kelsey), Jessica (Cooper), Aidan, Camden and Grayson; her great grandchildren, Audrey Marie and Savannah Jo; and her siblings, Norma Pridemore, Melva Blair, David and Ronnie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a whole bunch of other friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (1816 Rangeland Rd, Louisville, KY 40219). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul – St. Ignatius Martyr Conference.
