She was predeceased by: her brother Jerry Wheatley; and her parents, Thomas Wheatley and Kathleen Wheatley. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth George of Louisville; her daughters, Sarah George Sutkamp (Michael) and Shannon Cohen (Ross); her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lily" Hoffman, Elin Cohen and Mallory Cohen; her stepgrandchildren, Gabe Sutkamp, Gretchen Sutkamp and Dominic Sutkamp; her brother Sam Wheatley (Susan); and her sister-in-law Jean Wheatley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Augustine School, 235 South Spalding Avenue, Lebanon, KY 40033 and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
