It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonidas D'Entrecasteaux Deters Jr. (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Doll Deters and Leonidas D. Deters Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Penny Shaw; his children, Laura Lee (George), Polk (Sarah) and Garvin (Pritchett); the mother of his children Laura Lee Brown; his stepchildren, T. William (Suzanne), Priscilla (Darren) and Emily (John); his grandchildren, Peter, Lilly, Lee, Scout, Piper, Hyder, Sam, Willa, James, Owen, Dexter and Thomas; and his siblings, Edward Deters and Sally Macdonald.
