In loving memory of Martin Gerald Joseph Hornek of Louisville, Kentucky, who departed this world on October 4, 2025 at the age of 94. Martin leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sylvester Hornek and Marie Christine Hornek (Hohmann); and his great grandchild Gabriel Lorenz. He is survived by: his brother Norbert Hornek; his wife Mary Ellen Higgins Hornek; and his children, Shirley Fleitz (Ron), Joe Hornek (Mary), Rick Hornek (Kelly), Linda Lanham (Greg), Larry Hornek (Janet), Mary Beth Rother and Paul Hornek (Trindy). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (1395 Girard Dr, Louisville, KY 40222). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
