It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Humphries Dietrich of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Ann Hoffman Humphries and Thomas Humphries; her sister JoAnn Mulrooney; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Mulrooney and Marilyn Humphries.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Dietrich, Jr. (Mary) and Susan Purvis (Bryan); her brothers, Tommie Lee Humphries (Golda) and Edward Humphries; her grandchildren, Nicholas Dietrich (Sarah), Jennifer Carroll (Travis), Chelsea Dietrich, Justin Purvis and Morgan Purvis; and her great grandchildren, Caysen, Corbin Royalty, Lucy, Deacon Carroll and Tate Dietrich. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
