She was predeceased by: her husband James Austin Russell; her parents, Lee Patton and Mary Agnita Patton; her brother Myron Patton (Virginia); and her nieces and nephews, Patricia Marquess (Donald), Joan Rone (Mel), Judy Smith, Randy Russell (Leslie) and Ronnie Russell.
She is survived by: her daughter Diana Ragsdale (Terry); her sister Barbara Bickers (Donald); and her nieces and nephews, Carolyn Bischoff (Michael), Sherrie Stearman (Tom), Barbara Coleman (Pete), Linda Topley, Robert Kapp, Jr. (Judy), Donnie Bickers (Karen), Theodore Russell (Elaine), Michael Russell (Linda), Bobby Russell (Cathy) and Larry Patton (Brenda).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Shively, KY 40216).
Memorials may be made by donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, Hosparus Health of Louisville or the Kentucky Humane Society.
