She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Ellis, and Bert Ellis, Sr.; her son Damon Ellis; her siblings, Bert Ellis, Jr. and Hattie Phillips; and her grandson Jaden Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Veronica Murphy (Marshall), Richard Ellis (Synita), Rodney Ellis (James), Anthony Ellis (Vernessa) and Anglique Ellis; and her pet Spike. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home - Downtown (1300 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
