With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phil Allen Gardner of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Phil Allen shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Phil Allen farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Gardner and Lynda Bigelow; and his nephew Thomas Allen. He is survived by: his wife Kelly James; his daughters, Rebecca Jefferson (Aaron) and Alix James (Melanie Collins); his grandson Matthew; his sister Jackie DeVoe; and his pet Chem. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Phil's memory be made to Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services, reflecting his love for animals.
