He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Catherine (Clark) and Clement Eugene Mattingly; and his siblings, Michael Gary Mattingly, Patricia Slaughter, Charles Donald Mattingly, Tony Mattingly, Nancy Payne and Martha Marler.
He is survived by: his daughter Ammy Mitchell (Greg); his sisters, Sharon Wilson and Anna Richardson; his grandchildren, Micah and Gregory; and his close friend Josephine Geary. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
