It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Sydney Stansbury of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Dr. Robert Adams Stansbury and Marjorie Mauck Stansbury; his wife Carolyn Atherton Stansbury; his daughters, Mari Lawson (Brandon), Kelly Samuel (Jerald), Traci Stansbury (Kayvan) and Sydney Carter (Brett); his brothers, Russell Stansbury (Debbie) and Richard "Bert" Stansbury (Lucie); and his granddaughter Iris.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Patton Museum Foundation, an organization he felt strongly about.
