He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William Sr. and Helen Sherwood Knecht. He is survived by: his son Robert (Jessica); his grandson Nolan; and his sisters, E. Lind Rogers and Donna K. Dye (Tamma Bischoff).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bosse Funeral Home (1355 Ellison Ave, Louisville, KY 40204). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (1020 E Burnett Ave, Louisville, KY 40217). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213).
