She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Cecil Gibson; her parents, Richard Henry Hurst and Annie Bell Lindsay Hurst; her daughter-in-law Roxanne Gibson; and her siblings, Elton Eugene Hurst, Jewell White and Annette Dennis.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Charles and Debra Ann Gibson Story of Louisville, KY; her sister Betty Brown of Georgia; her grandchildren, Heather Miller (Ryan), Megan Sims (Donald) and Kelly Leal (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Audrey Gail Sims, Caleb Glen Sims and Leyla Eloise Leal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Latham Funeral Home (413 E Main St, Elkton, KY 42220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
