With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell K Coomer Sr. of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Mary J. Coomer; his children, Tina Kay Weidman and Gregory Alan Coomer; and his siblings, Paul, Danny, Donald, Tony and Mae Bryant.

He is survived by: his children, Russell K Coomer, Jr., Rhonda Weist and John E. Coomer; his siblings, Douglas Leonhardt, Eugene Leonhardt, Linda Leonhardt and Mammie Leonhardt; and his grandchildren, Tywayne, William, Russell, Cammi, Sarah, Joshua, Shelby, Melissa and Jessica. He is also survived by 10 great grandsons and 5 great granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Home of the Innocents.
