She was predeceased by: her father Henry; and her sisters, Virginia Commons and Alberta Hendrix. She is survived by: her children, Lucretia, Joseph, Anthony and Raymond McClenney; and her close friend Karen Porter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Prior to the COVID pandemic she worked at the Trinity Day Care - the owner referred to Ms. Ruth as the "boss" because of the discipline and respect she tried to instill into the children.
