In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Shirley Sue leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Shirley Sue may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Johnson and Eula Johnson (Meredith) of Edmonson County; her husband Donald Robert Daugherty; and her sisters, Imogene Johnson and Pauline Bratcher.
She is survived by: her daughter Rachelle Woods (Timothy); her grandchildren, Allison Woods (Abby) and Austin Woods; and her sister Thelma Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Homes - Dixie Highway (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). An entombment will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Follow Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
