He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph DePaola and Gladys DePaola; and his brother Stanley Hettinger. He is survived by: his wife Mary Patricia Carey (Pat); his children, Kevin DePaola of Houston, TX, LeeAnne Ater (Joe) of Willisburg, KY, Kathleen Beiser (Stephen) of Cincinnati, OH and Dan DePaola (Lesley) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Victoria DePaola, Avery DePaola, Colleen DePaola, Kathryn DePaola, Vincent Beiser, Sean DePaola, Lauren Beiser and Ansley DePaola; and his sister Marylin Runtas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
