He is survived by : his wife Janet Furniss; his children, Pattie, Jesus and Steve; his grandchildren, Morgan, Christian, Samuel, Cameron, Emily, Gracie and Abbie; and also, Tom and Trish.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the The Chapel (1407 Moser Rd, Louisville, KY 40299). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014).
