With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda M. English (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on November 11, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Wanda shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Wanda farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth Ownes and George Bell; and her children, Robert Shirley English Jr. and Darlene Eloise English (Jones). She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Marie English and Vanessa Lynn English (Johnson); her sister Joann Handcock; and her sibling's children, Shirley Bell (Wooden) and Joey Smith. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church (1620 Anderson St, Louisville, KY 40210). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
