He was predeceased by: his father William Greer Carter; his wife Margaret Carter; and his mother Elizabeth Cornell. He is survived by: his children, Beverly Carter Hoistad (Mark), Bonnie Carter Allison and W. Stuart Carter; his grandchildren, Julie (Jeremie), Jillian, Erin (Mike), Eric and Ashley (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Tyler (Julie), Logan, Kingston, Ryleigh, Luke, Carter, Grace, Evie, Elsie, Walt, Jeremie, Hannah, Donovan and Cullen; and his great great grandchild Graham.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to Louisville's https://www.raptorrehab.org where Ken spent many happy hours caretaking and making "runs" to pick up wounded animals all over Kentucky.
