It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Rhae Ellis (Madisonville, Kentucky), born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Steppe and Corry Steppe; and her siblings, C. W., Reggie Steppe and Jackie Jones.
She is survived by: her daughters, Robin of Madisonville, KY, Christie Steppe of Madisonville, KY and Stephanie Hendrix (Deljuan) of Madisonville, KY; her siblings, Stephanie Johnson, Marcus of Madisonville and Michael Steppe of Madisonville; and her grandchildren, Tiona Casey (Kristen), Tevin Arnett, Tra'Quille Hopson, Terrika Springfield, Ty'Arrah Mosley, Tramaine Hughes and Jordon Ipock. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephew.
