He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Duncan Rhew and John Thomas Rhew, Sr.; and his sisters, Agnes Shoulders, Katherine Oakley and Mary Parish.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Bradley Rhew; his children, Craig Rhew (Debbie), Barry Rhew (Peggy), Heath Bradley (Erin) and Denise B. Young (Barry); his grandchildren, Ashley Martin (Ryan), Leah Smart (Doug), John Rhew (Kim), Sean Rhew (Sara), Justin Horne (Kristen), Ethan Horne (Jacqueline), Joshua Bradley and Hannah Bradley; his caregiver Samantha Copley; and his pets, Barkley, Bentley and Mitzi. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
