He was predeceased by: his parents, Jon Raymond Love and Elizabeth Agnes Miller Love; and his wife Nancy Lou Wenaas Love. He is survived by: his children, Jon R. Love, III (Cherie) of Madisonville, Gretchen Arian (Parviz) of Nevada and James L. Love (Sue) of Madisonville; his grandchildren, Matt Love (Brie Logsdon) and Kate Love; his daughter Nancy Ratliff (Leif) of Madisonville; and his grandson Joe Ratliff.
