It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Abernathy of Mayfield, Kentucky, who passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Littleton Boone Abernathy, Jr. (Red) and Dorothy McCormick Abernathy; and his brother Billy Terrell Abernathy. He is survived by : his wife Jennifer Kaler Abernathy; his daughter Abigail Abernathy Sykes (Joshua); his grandchildren, Nola Rayne Sykes and Nash Boone Sykes of Hazel; and his sister Anna Faye Vowell of Hickman.
