He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae DeSpain and F. E. DeSpain; and his daughter Katherine Ann DeSpain (Katie). He is survived by: his wife Ann Steffen DeSpain; his son John Ashley DeSpain; his sister Susan DeSpain Cornett; his brother-in-law William Fred Cornett; his sibling's children, Leah Jayne Bendele and Benjamin David Cornett; Jennifer Tierney, Julie Butler, Leslie Asbury, Katie Wallingford, Cassidy Walton and Mandy Lambert.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brell & Son Funeral Home (620 E 2nd St, Maysville, KY 41056). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
