He is survived by: his son Joshua Troy Brooks (Shelly); and his siblings, Ada Brooks, Melissa Brooks, Betty Brooks, Mildred Brooks, Willa Kidd, Leonard E. Brooks, Jr. and Otis Brooks. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
