She is survived by: her children, Walter Joseph "Petie" Shumate (Angela Walker Shumate) and Alice Shumate Diaz (Alex); her grandchildren, Emaline Rose Shumate, Abigail Lily Shumate and Joseph Richardo Diaz; her siblings, Sylvia Coatney, Arlene Teague, Prudie Meadows, Tammy Overbay-Johnson (Brian), Jackie Overbay (Sheila) and Kenneth Overbay; her sister-in-law Phyllis Overbay; her nephew Jeff Overbay (Donna); and also Helen Cox (Don). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
