He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Lincoln Barnett and Louisa Elizabeth Roberts Barnett; his siblings, Lillian Owenby, Sarah, Otis Barnett and Russell Barnett; and his half-siblings, Lee Stewart and Carrie Stewart Stephenson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Archer Barnett; his children, James and Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Sidney Barnett, Christopher, Elizabeth Nash and Avaya Givens; his great grandchild Gabriel Nash; and his brother Rev. Robert Barnett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
