He was predeceased by: his mothers, Gertrude Short and Louella Minton. He is survived by: his siblings, Pauline Kirk (Ronnie), Edsel Potter (Nina), Willard Minton (Maona), Madeline Minton, Ellen Shackleford (R. E.) and Ronnie Minton; his great grandchild Colton Reid Lawson; his wife Linda Minton Short; his children, Sonya Brown (Bo), William Short (Tina) and Ray Short; his grandchildren, Jessica Brown (Cory Lawson), Chris Short (Lauren), Brad Short (Gabby), Haylee Emma Bray and Noah Haynes; his great grandchildren, Brayden Fultz, Addison Singleton, Corbyn Lawson and Grayson Short; and his siblings, Billie Jean Cantrell (David), Theodore Potter, Betty Baker (Stewart), Jerry Short (Maria), Kelly Short (Robin), Pauline Givens, Joyce Thacker, Wilburn Minton (Marleen) and Melissa Minton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
