She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Thompson and Sarah Jane Belcher; her husband Elmer Whitehead; her daughters, Betty Elrod and Janice Whalen; her grandson Kenneth Caldwell; and her siblings, Rice, Otto, Elihue Thompson and Nora Lee France.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Caldwell, Bernice Harris, Fred Whitehead, Wilma Ogan, Taylor Whitehead and Ronnie Whitehead; and her sister Rose Bergland. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
