It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Ray Overbay (Middlesboro, Kentucky), who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Overbay and Mayola Overbay; his wife Marie Overbay; and his siblings, Avery Overbay, Jim Overbay, Rudy Overbay and Effie Overbay.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Overbay (Donna) and Tim Overbay (Casey); his siblings, Jackie, Kenneth Overbay, Arlene Teague, Sylvia Coatney, Lois Shumate, Prudy Meadows and Tammy Johnson; his grandchildren, Brittney Brown, Adam Overbay, Jacob Overbay, Dakota and Madison Overbay; his great grandchildren, Caitlin Defevers, Blake Brown, Denver Overbay, Josie Overbay, Raelynn Overbay and Everleigh Overbay; his sister-in-law Cristy Overbay; and his close friends, Jo Anne Hammerling, Bill Norton and Steve Capps. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
