He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fleemon and Iva Whitmore Fleemon; his wife Shirley Hatfield Fleemon; his sisters, Betty Idol Smith and Irene Laughter; his parents-in-law, Ange Kirby, Calvin Hatfield, Kenneth Ramsey and Freeman Kirby; his siblings-in-law, Edward Hatfield and Wilma Jean Webb; his niece Judy Idol Gamble; and his nephews, Bob Idol, Scott Hamlin and James D. Hamlin II.
He is survived by: his sons, David Fleemon and Bill Fleemon; his sister Mary Elizabeth Lovett (Worth); his sister-in-law Jo Bryant (Clyde); and his nieces and nephews, Cathy Idol Owens (Andrew), Judy Brady Sharp, Pam O'Connell (Mike), Nedra Challander, Phyllis Gibson (David), Richard Idol, Ray Lovett, John Lovett (Shelley), Edward Hatfield Jr. (Kris), Johnny Hamlin and Michael Russell (Joel Wilson).
