He is survived by: his wife Faye Ramey Thompson; his daughters, Ragen Cooper (William) of Louisville and Jesse Nelson (Norman) of Redding, California; his grandchildren, Alexis Cooper, Madison Cooper, Jared Cooper, William Cooper, Josh Jarrard and Joel Jarrard; his siblings, Donnie Thompson of Morehead, Tommy Thompson of Flemingsburg, Carl Thompson of Massachusetts, Betty Wallace of Ashland, Terri Moore of Ohio and Jenny Russell of Ohio; and his close friends, Teddy Wright, Mike Cox, Scott Ledford, Larry Whisman, Jimmy Thacker, Roger and Kelly Lewis.
