With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lemuel Washington Black Jr. of Morehead, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lemuel left this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Black and Bessie Black; his wife Phyllis Curtis Black; his siblings, Ivis Black, Leona Jones and Pauline Jones; and his granddaughter Danielle Perry.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Black of Morehead; his grandson Joshua Perry (Bria) of Morehead; his great grandchildren, Gunnar Perry, Diesel Perry, Zelda Perry and Meadow Perry; his brother Wayne Black; and also, James, Zona Hall and Regina Gilliam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Slab Camp Christian Church (850 Clack Mountain East Rd, Clearfield, KY 40313). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Arnold Cemetery (W Black Rd, Kentucky 40313).
