She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Joe" Messer and Dorothy Mae Hill Messer; her sisters, Peggy Maze and Mary Lou Omohundro; her husband William Lewis "Bill" May; and her daughter-in-law Melissa Rush May.
She is survived by: her children, Karla May of Mt. Juliet, TN, Bill May (Mary) of Nashville, TN, Joe May (Raquel) of Hendersonville, TN and Dan May of Nashville, TN.; her grandchildren, Billy May, Kathleen Sweetland, Leslie May, Bryan May, Nick May, Douglas May, Michelle May and Josh May; and her great grandchildren, Cooper, Virginia and Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
