He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Carter and Elma Lou Howard Carter; and his sister Rita Kay Carter Yates. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joyce Bramblett Carter; his son Aaron Baird of Mt. Sterling; his stepchildren, Dakota Sanborn (Kenzie) of Nicholasville and Lacy Sanborn of Morehead; his siblings, Dewayne Carter (Alicia) of Morehead, Michael Allen Carter of Olive Hill and Rhonda Gaye Strickler (Greg) of Shelby, Ohio; and his stepgranddaughter Norah Rose Smith. He is also survived by three nephews; aunts and uncles; extended family; and many friends.
