He was predeceased by: his parents, Luchen Keown and Mable Hawks Keown; his wife Bertha Smith Keown; his daughters, Cindy Baskett and Mavis Miller; and his siblings, Jimmy Keown, Glendale Keown, Nokie Pearl West, Dorothy Pendley, Lois Bratcher, Norma Jean Butler and JoAnn Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Keown Jr., Melody Danford and Linda Agerter (John); and his siblings, Luchen Keown Jr. (Judy), Delah Luttrell and Larry D. Keown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
