He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Eugene and Delphie Brooks Shain; and his siblings, Alice Embry, Carol Sanders, Zelda Embry, Jerry and Phillip Shain.
He is survived by: his siblings, Judith Tarrence of Morgantown, KY, Brinda Day of Shephardsville, KY, Johnny Shain (Roxanna) of Bowling Green, KY, Terry Shain (Becky) of Morgantown, KY and Perry Shain of Morgantown, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
