It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carole F. Ennis Thornton of Munfordville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Hausley and Ada Mae Ennis; her husband Jewell B. Thornton; her children, Rondal, Jeffery Thornton, Darlene Thornton and Vivian Thornton; her sisters, Gayle Fisher and Charlestine Ennis; her grandson Brandon Thornton; and her children-in-law, Carrie Thornton and Wesley Buntyn.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Thornton of Munfordville, KY, Timothy Thornton (Linda) of Austin, TX, Carolyn Sue Buntyn of Munfordville, KY and Jacqueline Jewell of Louisville, KY; and her brothers, Dwyane Hausley (Barbara) of Lexington, KY, Gene Hausley (Mary) of Lexington, KY and Dendress Ennis of Cave City, KY.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Owens Chapel Baptist Church (303 S Dixie Hwy, Cave City, KY 42127). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
