He was predeceased by : his wife Eula Ann Blair (Boling); his granddaughter Crystal Hance; and his siblings, Janice Blair and Alp Blair. He is survived by : his children, Sherri Baker (John) of Vine Grove, John G. Blair (Tanita) of Louisville and James A. Blair (Rita) of Crestwood; his close friend Jean Sheehan of Louisville; and his siblings, Elizabeth Wills of Shelbyville and James P. Blair (Martha) of Harlan.
